The book is a bit of a slog to get through, but it is thorough, very thorough.

On the other hand, “Fire Weather” is quite the enjoyable read, although it is more than a tad scary at points.

Survived what adventures? Therein lies the stories told so remarkably well by Grann.

For diehard Lincoln aficionados, And There Was Light is a must read.
