vonNeumann is best remembered for inventing the computer, or at least the basis for modern computers.

The book is a bit of a slog to get through, but it is thorough, very thorough.

On the other hand, “Fire Weather” is quite the enjoyable read, although it is more than a tad scary at points.

Normal life isn’t really possible, but as long as I keep it in front of me and the stroke in the rear-view mirror, life will be all good.

And the wrong town was bombed.
